About National Heritage Championship

The National Heritage Championship is an online quiz, where students from all over India will be able to test their knowledge of Indian Heritage. Focus shall be on all three aspects, the Built, Cultural, and Natural Heritage of India.

Concept

India is a land of rich and diverse heritage. Even a lifetime is insufficient to study its past. For a school student to study all aspects of India’s heritage through his/her curriculum is a challenge that experts have been trying to tackle for a long. As a support to the existing school curriculum, Heritageshaala® brings the National Heritage Championship (NHC), which aims at supplementing the school learning and adding value to the knowledge of a child.
NHC gives importance to regional heritage, as much as the national heritage. Therefore, the question bank has been prepared in such a way that 30% questions will appear from the zone the child belongs to, while 70% questions will be from the national level heritage.

Zones

NHC follows the zones described by the States Reorganisation Act of 1956.
North Zone Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Rajasthan
West Zone Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra
